Saddleback Leather Co.

What sets Saddleback apart, and why it’s become a fan favorite over here at Palomino County HQ, is the way craft and mission are braided together. Through Love 41 (founded by Dave’s wife, Suzette) profits and programs support work in Rwanda and Mexico, from daycare and schooling to job training for vulnerable families. The company regularly introduces customers to those missions so the spotlight tilts toward people doing good, not just people buying goods. In other words: receiving is giving.

GET OUT GUIDE

There’s nothing quite like loading up the truck, packing the snacks, and heading somewhere wide open. Whether it’s a weekend in the mountains, a cross-state road trip, or just chasing daylight past the fence line, these are the goods built for going. Think all-weather blankets, well-worn coolers, enamelware for camp coffee, durable duffels, and games that keep the kids entertained between gas stops. They’re the kind of essentials that earn their place in the backseat—and become part of the memory. Wherever you’re headed, take the good stuff with you.

GIFTS THAT SAY "I DIDN'T BUY THIS ON AMAZON"

Some gifts don’t need a size tag or a shipping label—they just need good taste. This is the sweet spot: treasures for the home, the hostess, the collector, and the friend who already has everything. From hand-dipped candles and small-batch pantry staples to vintage barware and locally made ceramics, these are the thoughtful things that say “I saw this and thought of you.” Useful, beautiful, and just a little unexpected, they’re made to be admired, shared, and remembered.
