Palomino County’s resident pup, Chai Weaver, Offers his insider's take

If you ask us, there are good weekends. Then, there are Barnsley Resort weekends. The car turns down that long drive, the windows crack, and my brother Chesney and I know: we’ve arrived at our favorite sniff-spot on earth.

At Barnsley Resort, dogs aren’t just allowed, we are properly welcomed. Select cottages (even the roomy multi-bedroom ones) roll out the red carpet for up to two pups per stay. Upon arrival, we’re greeted with treats and a signature Barnsley bandana created in partnership with Crew La La. I personally believe every distinguished gentleman needs a resort bandana.

The real magic? More than 3,000 acres of gardens, trails, and outdoor space to roam. That’s a whole lot of fresh air, dignified strutting, and the occasional squirrel summit. Our parents love the beauty and quiet elegance; we love that no one bats an eye when we insist on inspecting every inch of it.Dining is a family affair.
We join our humans outdoors at the Biergarten and on the porch at Woodlands, where the breeze carries equal notes of Southern cooking and adventure. Refined, yet relaxed, and just our style. Big dogs, small dogs—we’re all VIPs here.
Five paws up from the Weaver brothers. We’ll see you on the trails.
