In a media landscape saturated with noise, Tiffany Long has built a company committed to clarity, authenticity, and purpose. As the founder of Troops & Allies, a Nashville-based entertainment marketing agency, she has shaped a business that champions stories with soul—especially those that resonate with women.


With a background in post-production, commercial photography, and music video production, Tiffany’s career has evolved over nearly two decades to include leading national theatrical film marketing campaigns. Since founding Troops & Allies in 2015, she and her team have helped drive more than $650 million in domestic box office revenue, collaborating on major projects with Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate.


At the heart of her mission? Moving good stories forward—and making sure women hear about them.


I recently caught up with Tiffany fresh off the set of I Can Only Imagine 2. Between her role as mother to three boys and hobnobbing with studio executives, she has crafted a fascinating life in Brentwood, Tennessee—and she was kind enough to give us a "behind the scenes" look into journey as an entrepreneur.

On Her Entrepreneurial Journey


Rebekah Iliff: What is your definition of the “American dream”?


Tiffany Long: The American dream, to me, is about having safety, security, and the opportunity to be educated and work at something you love. That’s all anyone really wants—purpose, peace, and the freedom to pursue it.


RI: How do you define success?


TL: Success is enjoying what you do and who you spend your time with—whether that’s your family, friends, faith community, or local community. If you wake up each day knowing you are loved and contributing to something meaningful, that’s success in my book.


RI: What is the mission behind Troops & Allies?


TL: Our purpose is to move good stories forward and to tell women about things they’ll love. Women are natural collaborators—at home, at work, in their communities—and we wanted to build a business that reflects that spirit. That’s how the name Troops & Allies came to be. You need both structure and support to thrive.


RI: Does faith influence how you operate your business—and your life?


TL: Absolutely. I hope it’s the most important factor in everything I do. Faith gives me peace and clarity. If I trust God’s will for my family and business, then I don’t have to carry the weight of figuring it all out alone.


RI: What hard lessons have shaped your journey as a business owner?


TL: One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received was: “If it’s inevitable, make it immediate.” I haven’t always followed that rule, and it’s hurt me. Delaying tough decisions only makes them harder later.


RI: What do you love most about being an American-made, women-led brand?


TL: I love knowing that we’re impacting women’s lives—both through the content we share and by creating a workplace where women can thrive. Watching women on our team grow, lead, and have fun together is a joy I don’t take for granted.


RI: What’s the toughest part of growing a business like yours?


TL: Scaling, and knowing when and how to grow your team is tricky. You want to avoid burnout but also stay ahead of the curve. For us, culture fit is crucial, so hiring can’t be rushed.


RI: What inspires and supports you along your journey?


TL: I’m a huge fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ podcast “Wiser Than Me,” where she interviews older women with incredible lived wisdom. I also loved Ina Garten’s memoir Be Ready When Luck Happens, and I’ll read or listen to anything Anne Lamott shares. She’s so grounded and wise.


On Faith-Driven Content in Film & TV


RI: How has the industry changed in its approach to faith-based content?


TL: It has absolutely exploded. Faith content is everywhere right now, and it’s been amazing to be part of the journey. Especially in the last five years, there’s been a shift toward real investment—budgets, production, top-tier talent. But here’s the thing: audiences are smart. They can spot the difference between opportunistic and authentic content. The authentic always wins.


RI: Who’s leading the charge in this space?


TL: Kingdom Story Company, right here in Franklin, Tennessee, is at the forefront. Along with Lionsgate, they’ve been behind films like Jesus Revolution, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and the upcoming I Can Only Imagine 2. Dallas Jenkins and The Chosen have also changed the game. Additionally, studios like Amazon/MGM are stepping in with titles like House of David and Sarah’s Oil.


RI: What excites you most about this work?


TL: I love that I get to represent my faith in an industry that doesn’t always understand it. I take that role seriously and try to approach it with grace, kindness, and excellence. What surprises me most? That I still feel awestruck that I get to help bring meaningful content into the world. That never gets old.


On Her Favorite Projects & What’s Next


RI: What have been some of your favorite projects to work on?


Jesus Revolution stands out. It was one of the first films in its genre to bring audiences back post-COVID. It was moving, funny, historical, and beautifully made. And working with the teams at Kingdom and Lionsgate was a total blast from start to finish.


RI: Ok, last word. Any upcoming projects you’re excited about?


RI: YES! We’re currently working on I Can Only Imagine 2, which hits theaters in Spring 2026. The first film earned over $87 million at the box office and stunned the industry. This next chapter is even more powerful, with an amazing cast including Milo Ventimiglia, Sophie Skelton, John Michael Finley, and Trace Adkins.
