Set Up the Delta Camp Bar for Cocktail Hour to Continue the Day’s Adventure

It was unseasonably warm and windy, with the ups and downs of stalking a wary quarry, followed by the exhilaration of harvesting a beautiful pronghorn buck. Finally, my antelope was on the ground after two hard days of hunting in southeastern Wyoming. Now that the hunt was over and our grip and grin photos had been taken, it was time for a celebratory toast to quench our thirst and feel the burn of the bourbon in our throats. Reaching into the elegant, waxed canvas twill Wren and Ivy Delta Camp Bar, a bottle of bourbon was retrieved. The cap was eagerly removed from the liquor and generous pours were made into the Bar’s Yeti tumblers for my hunting guide, Beau, and me, to honor the animal and a successful hunt.

The first time I saw the Delta Camp Bar was on Wren and Ivy’s Instagram page a couple of years ago. I clicked on the link for the Wren and Ivy webpage to learn more about the Bar. Wren and Ivy was founded by B.C. Rogers and his wife, Kim, in Madison, Mississippi, out of a passion for hunting. Wren and Ivy offers gear for wingshooting and turkey hunting. From shotgun cases, hunting bags, and luggage, their products are built for heavy use in the field. The Delta Camp Bar is made out of an olive colored, heavy waxed canvas and heavy, bridle leather.

It has antique brass hardware that gives it an air of nostalgia for a time gone by. It has six padded pockets, with snap dividers for extra room. Included in the Bar are a cocktail shaker and two 10-ounce Yeti tumblers with magnetic slide lids. The Bar features a heavy, leather rear pocket for easy access to the interior of the Bar. There is a zippered pocket inside the lid that has plenty of room for storing bar tools. It carries three bottles of your favorite libation. The Yetis and shaker can be removed to make extra room for more bottles of liquor. I was immediately intrigued with it and ordered one as a Christmas gift for my wife.

We have traveled many times with the Wren and Ivy Delta Camp Bar. We have carried our Delta Camp Bar with us for long weekends, out of state hunting trips, and most recently to the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston, South Carolina. SEWE has been a mainstay in Charleston since its inception in 1983. The event has grown to display wildlife art, artists, and purveyors of fine sporting goods. One of the companies that exhibited their products was Wren and Ivy. My wife, Pam, and I had the great opportunity to meet B.C. and Kim very briefly at the Wren and Ivy exhibition in the Gailliard Center during the 2025 SEWE.

We like to use the Delta Camp Bar during our travels when the hotel does not have a bar, or often, even if there is a bar in the hotel, we prefer making our own cocktails and having time to decompress in the privacy of our own room after a long day on the road. We enjoy setting up our Delta Camp Bar and making top shelf vodka martinis with hand stuffed, blue cheese olives, or old fashioneds with a nice bourbon to relax and unwind. It has become one of the main items we always hit the road with, and it will give us many years of use because it is sturdy and built to last. It is definitely an heirloom quality item that can be handed down for generations of use. The Bar lives up to its name, travels well, and does not take up much room. It has space for all your cocktail needs on the road.

We found the shaker that is provided with the Delta Camp Bar is quite small. This issue was fixed quickly by changing it out with a larger cocktail shaker from our home bar. The front latch of the Bar is made of heavy brass and is somewhat difficult to close with a one-handed operation. Other than these two small details, we have thoroughly enjoyed our Bar. The Yeti tumblers work as advertised and keep our martinis and old fashioneds ice cold.

The Delta Camp Bar has seen extensive use in only a short amount of time of owning it. Like the old American Express commercial tagline, “we don’t leave home without it.” The Delta Camp Bar is the perfect companion for tailgating at a college football game, in the field post hunt, or in a hotel room for an overnight stay.  It can carry all your barware necessities so your favorite cocktail can be savored near or far from home. The Delta Camp Bar is available online at Wren and Ivy and retails for $665.
