Pitch Submission
Palomino County is a culture-rich, quiet luxury-driven Americana lifestyle magazine rooted in the country’s traditional values of faith, family, and freedom. We tell stories about legacy brands and emerging craftsmen from coast to coast, but are firmly planted in the middle. Using food, land, and tradition as a lens, we highlight the people, makers, and communities that define the spirit of the great American life.

Our Print Volumes
We print two volumes per year, each roughly 170 pages: Fall-Winter ships in September and Spring-Summer ships in March.
From a geographic perspective, the Fall-Winter volume focuses primarily on areas of the Great American West with a more rustic and western aesthetic. Think ranches, mountains, hunting, and country crooners.
Our Spring-Summer volume highlights more of the coasts, particularly the Coastal South region, and places that are known for lake and ocean activities. Think fishing, boating, beach resorts, and long summer nights.
In every volume, we highlight the equestrian lifestyle—the traditions, values, and communities built around the enduring relationship between humans and horses—while also exploring a broader landscape of quiet luxury pursuits that define life well lived in Palomino County. This extends beyond the fairway to include golf as both sport and social ritual, alongside pursuits like fly fishing in untouched waters, upland hunting across storied fields, and time spent at private clubs and heritage resorts where craftsmanship and culture quietly converge.
We also have ongoing profile stories, columns, and guides published online throughout the year to coincide with holidays, trends, and seasons. We plan our print editorial content six to nine months in advance. Pitches are submitted through our online form and should include:

-
Brief explanation of the topic or idea
-
Why the pitch is well-suited for Palomino County
-
Exclusivity and timeline expectations
A note about previously published works, AI, and what we are looking for:
Palomino County does not accept material that has been previously published. We ask that writers submit pitches and write pieces that are created without the use of AI. That said, we understand that AI can be useful for story prompts and editing, and that’s ok.
We want original thinkers, adventureres, and culture creators who are offering us unique and “parts unknown” type perspectives. If Garden & Gun has covered the angle, or Town & Country has already written about the location three times, we probably don’t want it.
We do not accept pitches about hyper-local businesses like dental offices, med spas, realtors, restaurants, or boutiques unless they are relevant for one of our Guides or Columns (see below) or if there is an incredibly unique founder story behind it. However, we would love to consider building a customized advertising program for you.
