STYLE TIPS FROM THE DESIGNER, WELLS McCONNELL
“Scarves are such a timeless and versatile accessory, but I think the designs I draw make mine feel modern,” she says. “The classic way is wearing it bandana-style around your neck.” This method adds panache to a tee-and-jeans outfit, while elevating a silk top for an evening out.
“I also love tying one of the smaller scarves on the handle of my handbag or tying a larger scarf around my waist with a solid dress.
And you can turn my larger scarves into a flowy halter top,” she says. First, tie the top two corners around your neck. Next, take the two bottom corners and tie them around your back. “It’s easy and surprisingly secure. You don’t feel like it will fall or anything will pop out.”
