Race Day Recipes
From the classic Mint Julep to a refreshing Tequila Twist, these cocktails are winning

At the heart of every memorable race day gathering is a well-crafted cocktail. Southbound Tequila offers a bright, floral take with its Brim and Bloom, while SirDavis honors tradition with a refined Mint Julep. Together, these two recipes deliver the perfect balance of heritage and fresh perspective for a stylish day at the races—from Kentucky Derby to Steeplechase, and everywhere in between.

Sir Davis Whiskey's Mint Julep
Ingredients
- 2 oz Sir Davis Whiskey
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 8–10 fresh mint leaves
- Crushed ice
- Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
Directions
- In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup to release the mint’s oils.
- Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
- Pour in the bourbon and stir until the outside of the glass becomes frosty.
- Top with more crushed ice, forming a rounded mound.
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and serve immediately.
Optional Touch
