From the classic Mint Julep to a refreshing tequila twist, these cocktails are WINING

At the heart of every memorable race day gathering is a well-crafted cocktail. Southbound Tequila offers a bright, floral take with its Brim and Bloom, while SirDavis honors tradition with a refined Mint Julep. Together, these two recipes deliver the perfect balance of heritage and fresh perspective for a stylish day at the races—from Kentucky Derby to Steeplechase, and everywhere in between.
Southbound tequila's brim and bloom
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Southbound Blanco Tequila
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz St Germaine
3/4 oz Hibiscus tea
A drop of light blue agave
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake well until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the drink is thoroughly chilled.
Strain over fresh ice into your favorite glass.
Garnish to taste and enjoy.

Sir Davis Whiskey's Mint Julep
Ingredients
2 oz Sir Davis Whiskey
1/2 oz simple syrup
8–10 fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
Directions
In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup to release the mint’s oils.
Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
Pour in the bourbon and stir until the outside of the glass becomes frosty.
Top with more crushed ice, forming a rounded mound.
Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and serve immediately.
Optional Touch
For a more traditional presentation, use a silver julep cup and lightly clap the mint sprig between your hands before garnishing to enhance its aroma.
